This is it!
The sign is older than Kenny Loggins’ parents and has a unique history. It has been “it” many times and in many places.
Seth Jarvis was looking Kindergarten in the eye when The Hat story began.
I’m a Bronx boy who is all in for the Hurricanes. In a sports world full of suspect characters, they are the real deal. I’ve known this for a very long time, and knew it fully one beautiful spring night in June of 2006, the last time the Canes played for the Stanley Cup. That night, our coach was our captain and wore the “C” with class, inspiration, and dedication.
The young boy who wore The Hat is now a young man. I was a man in June 2006 who, like the other 18,000+ in the building, stood for the entire game. Now, I’m an old man not up to standing for half of a period. But I will gladly stand with this team. They ARE IT.
Enjoy the moment, boys.
