Glow in the Night

Precious time unwinds a little faster each year along this path. And when I take the time to notice the calendar it reminds me of the season that already fills me. The ritual of light and lighting shines in hopes that we will look up and within to the true meaning of our remembrance.

The pull of the dim light of screens, and commands to swipe the card or insert the card, and do not remove the card, demand the eyes in hopes of pulling the soul off course. To not remember. But giving is giving and can only be true when we look up and look within.

star lights

Centuries ago a star shone above. Its brightness pulled with purpose and deeply filled those who followed its light. Its clarity gave meaning to the path, one that is open to all regardless of how and where you step. It still shines. And if everywhere we find Heaven and the Lord, then here is as good as it gets…

In this light, all days become holy, and I honor this time with a gesture pulled from the sky to the top of our family tree. A star in the night. A savior is born.
